Anna Heetderks

Anna Heetderks is a Federal Policy Analyst at Recoding America, where she supports the organization’s federal policy and programmatic work. Anna is passionate about building public institutions that effectively support human flourishing and serve the common good. Her interest in state capacity and the mechanics of governing has led her to roles with the Brookings Institution’s Center for Effective Public Management and, most recently, with the Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General, where she worked on federal prison oversight. Anna received her bachelor’s in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and her MPP from UVA’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy.
