Natasha Khwaja

Philanthropic Partnerships Manager

Natasha Khwaja is the Philanthropic Partnerships Manager at Recoding America, where she works to mobilize resources and strategic collaborations to build the field of state capacity.

She brings a diverse set of experiences across government, philanthropy, and academia, where she has built partnerships, strategies, and evidence to support a government that delivers.

Most recently, Natasha has served multiple city governments, advising leaders on priorities related to economic mobility, use of data, and performance management. She also supported large-scale philanthropic open calls at the Centre for Public Impact and efforts to scale learnings on place-based policies at the Reimagining the Economy project.

Prior to this, Natasha’s career focused on reforming public policy’s emergency room– state civil courts, where families land when instability escalates into eviction and debt collection lawsuits. At the Pew Charitable Trusts she led state engagement strategy, technical assistance, and policy development research projects focused on strengthening the capacity of civil courts to better serve communities. Earlier, she managed randomized controlled trials at Harvard Law School Access to Justice Lab to produce rigorous evidence for legal system reform.

Natasha holds a B.A. in International Relations and Anthropology from Tufts University and a Master's in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
